Casa Castillo, managed exclusively by Califa Casas, was in the top 50 places to stay in Spain according to The Times. It is an old Moorish property situated beneath the Castle walls with views of the town and the Atlantic and African coastlines. It is an elegant centenary house with plenty of charm and character.
Casa Castillo is a traditional Vejer “patio” house with a typical courtyard off which the rooms and stairs to the first floor are located. The ground floor has a magnificent entrance via a stone vaulted cobbled hallway. Leading off the stone-flagged courtyard there is a classic old world kitchen (with modern appliances), a medieval dining room and an underground cellar cave with exposed stone work. The ground floor also has a study and a bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Stairs lead to a spacious hall and a gallery with wooden balustrades which overlooks the courtyard and gives access to a living room and two bedrooms, each one with a small ensuite bathroom. Stairs lead to the upper level where there is a terraza and bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The spacious terrace is divided into two and has seating, sunbeds and an exterior dining table. The terrace enjoys panoramic views towards the Castle, the town, pine forest, mountains and the coastline. On clear days you can see Africa on the horizon.

You can unload luggage and shopping approximately 50m from the house. Please note the majorty of streets in the old town are narrow and complicated to drive down.
